We are committed to celebrating Black women all year long and not just in February because Black history is history. But, February is Black History Month and we never pass up a chance to celebrate and share about some amazing women! Every year in school, we remember particularly learning about Harriet Tubman & Rosa Parks. While THESE WOMEN WERE AMAZING and definitely deserve to be remembered for their impact on history, they aren't the only women whose stories deserve to be told. It's time to also learn about Josephine Baker, Madam CJ Walker, Ida B. Wells, and many other amazing women who we never met in school.
